United Brass Works Model 226UT One-piece Body Y-Blow Down Valve
Description
The Model 226UT, United Brass Works, One-piece body Y-Blow Down valve has been designed for use as slow opening blowdown valve. The valve features a rising stem, swivel disk holder, integrated seat and a serviceable PTFE disk.
Most sources call this a Blow Down valve, while others including the manufacture call this a Blow Off valve.

Care must be taken in blow off piping so that no water hammer effect causes shock to the “Y” blow off valve, especially in cases where a boiler has two blow down lines. In such cases both lines should be piped to a common set of blow down valves or each blow off line should be piped separately to the blow down separator. Excessive water hammer or shock can destroy valves and piping and could cause injury.
